Ken, you need to read this article from the Orange County Register. In fact, here are two articles, both involving this crook "WAYNE LEE." He is being sued in Illinois for stealing 35 million and calling it a "consulting agreement." Yeah, right. Just another way to bleed the co. on the backs of hardworking borrowers so he can ski in mammoth all year long. This first link takes you to this article. The second was an article about a 19 year old who died of an overdose in his kitchen while he was again, away skiing in mammoth. Apparently his son waited hours before summoning help. Maybe Wayne told him to hold off so they could clean up the mess(the kid died of an overdose of Oxycontin and Xanax). Nice household. Don't believe anything Lee says about his days at Argent. There is alot more that the public doesn't know.

I have to tell you that I did work with a couple of law firms at no charge to give them advice about the inner workings of mortgage oompanies and their loan servicers. I never charged the attorneys for my work because I was trying to help them win so that the borrower or homeowner would win. Well after all was said and done, the lawsuit was won or settled and the attorneys took millions and the class action members got a mere pittance. It was all so very sad. I called them up the other day to let them know that the Class Members are not in the business of providing lawyers and their firms with a means for earning millions while they, the homeowner, walked away with virtually nothing. In all fairness to the law firms I asked them to please allow me to debate this situation with them but they would not return the call. I did speak with one administrative assistant who tried her best to defend the attorneys, but it was almost laughable. They always tell the class member they cannot give them the amount or anything close to it because they don't know how many members will participate. What a terrible terrible lie to all of you. Do you think for one moment that they go to work for years not knowing what the potential was for the law firms investment in the class action. One group as I recall received a copy of their credit report for their claim of providing all of the detail to the law firm so they could be defended. I may be misinformed and totally wrong, but one lender that was being sued and who made the settlement provided each and every class member with a copy of his credit report which probably he purchased for pennies on the dollar while it would normally cost you a lot more after you get your free credit report that is. And the lawyers walked away with a cash settlement as I understand it. I wish I could find that suit again so I can display it for the pitful way the members were treated. I think that the law firms can serve a wonderful purpose for those that cannot afford an attorney, which is just about everybody, but because they take the winnings, why would one put themselves up as pawns for the firms to make money. As I have tried to explain to the Obama administration, you cannot buy jobs honestly. If the person providing this blog says he has an attorney who can and will help I would say that they all will if you pay them enough money. What is missing here and was missing in 2002 through 2008 is the fact that now, the FTC, OTC, and the justice Department can do what these attorneys and class action lawywers are doing. At least I think that is the case. The regulators know now, that they can't ignore the laws that are being violated. They knew it back in 2001 throu 2006, but both administrations were not going to stop the freight train of greed that was going down the track, that is, until it was too late and they hit a brick wall. Make your choice to go with Class Action, but do it only after you have good information. I personally am still waiting on all of the big time law firms to tell me why, this is a fair and good deal for the homeowner. I will join the band wagon if they can convince me. Over the past 4 and 1/2 years I have defended over 400 homeowners and only lost one home to foreclosure. I was a priviledged person (not an attorney) who was able to help those who called on me for help and I was able to do it without charging them a cent. It is my hope that everyone considering a class action suit, will overload the regulatory with their well defined complaints. Seems to me that one would get a lot more out of the deal by doing that than providing jobs for attorneys who should have, years ago, advised their clients (lenders) to not make the dangerous loans in the first place. But they were not going to stop those kinds of lending practices because they knew that it would be a future gravy train for them. So it looks like the lender victimized you first, then the administration's Tarp Plan came along and then third, the lawyers are getting their piece of the action. And now we have a settlement of Ameriquest, AMC and argent for 22 million and the attorneys are walking away with 1.3 million each, not including their administrative fees. AS I understand it there are over 700,000 members in this class action who will get the benefit on a first come first serve basis from a non profit who was paid $200,000 to help counsel the class members. Ridiculous and outrageous. Of course it was a lot of work, no question, but since it brought nothing to the table for the victims, one has to ask them why they would subject themselves to be treated this way. Now for everyone who backs out as a class member of teh 700,000, as I understand all that money would go to a charity named by Ameriquest. Surely there must be something that I don't understand. As for your regular attorneys, they aren't much better. Some of the families that had come to me did so because their attorneys dropped the ball or didn't do the job they were hired to do. Why? They came close to losing their homes, so really, who can anyone trust to help them anymore. Now, each and every person who has a complaint needs to bundle it up just like they bundled up your mortgage loan and securitized it and sending it to the FTC or the Justice Department. Eveyone needs an attorney from time to time, but this is a fiasco. Hats off to the person who said, you can't find an attorney that can do the job or won't.
